Taking Back Economics for the People:  Humanizing the Economy and getting it out of the hands of Capitalists with their Machinations of the Market

**********

The nature of economy is that of man-made ‘laws’ of economic function, and the premise of revolutionary action is that no individual is required by any law of nature to submit to those artificial economic laws, most the sly creations of Adam-Smith psychopaths.

John Landon, Economic Immersion, Darwiniana.com

I don’t have a problem with this. OK, let’s humanize the economy and get it out of the (“invisible”?) hands of capitalists and those who would impose their own clever machinations for market-driven laws and dictates.  … Alright, fine, the “Market” as we know it is a sham.  Fair enough.

The problem is: economics is “real”, and the need to improve economic conditions for people in the world is “real” too.

At some level in our study of history and human experience, we’re going to run into this systems-dynamic we call an “economy” and of which operates on certain fundamental principles of value and exchangeWorld system theorists, among others, and the late Andre Gunder Frank in particular, have done an excellent job in mapping out what this web of economic/communications exchanges looks across the globe and over time in world history, and well as how it functions.   Is this just another construction of the elites foisted over the masses? … I don’t think so.  On some plane or other of human experience, we run into the bedrock of a real “world” economy and that necessarily follows both the laws of nature and the dynamics of historical sociology.  That’s not part of the capitalist facade.

We need to acknowledge that fact and work within those parameters, if we are going to improve the lot of people all over the world in an economic sense. … That’s Step #1.

Step #2 is what we do about it and the mess the capitalists have brought down on their own and our heads.  The FDR programme is a start.  Bring back Glass-Steagall, restore Roosevelt’s Bretton Woods system, public works, the whole nine yards … That’s where you begin and you add on from there whatever progressive measures of governance and civil society are needed to ensure that system isn’t co-opted by economic elites.

Do that and you overturn their game, taking back economics for the people.

Econostream != Eonic Sequence

The illusion of economic immersion is one of the most powerful tools of domination, but if survey history in the large we see how the illusion is promoted, and why it is germane to stand up to the whole game. Total history is larger than the economic, and the dictates of capitalism, for example, are concealed tyrannies its victims have a right to protest, and amend.

The nature of economy is that of man-made ‘laws’ of economic function, and the premise of revolutionary action is that no individual is required by any law of nature to submit to those artificial economic laws, most the sly creations of Adam-Smith psychopaths. Economies need to move past the realm of sacrifices of Mollock in the reserve armies of human discards, and citizens need to demand that human sacrifice is a barbarism that economies, and capitaists, can no longer impose. The era of cheap wealth creation allowed the illusion of universal economic progress, but we can see that that era is passing, and the capitalist elites themselves are savvy enough to see the falseness of their propaganda, and are moving to totalitarianize economies, now by impoverishing those they promised to help. They know all too well the gangster premise of their system, and are moving to make dissent impossible as the age of affluence passes.

So the challenge to this system must proceed without delay, and stop fantasizing about FDR’s on horseback, and the rest of it.
